The Yarnies are back, and we’re SO excited!
The Yarnie Awards is an annual show that celebrates the standout crochet creators and projects of 2025. Hosted by @croutonscrochet, @crochetbygenna, and @gardenhoe.crochet and sponsored by @zaddycrafts, the Yarnies shine a spotlight on the brilliance, kindness, and creativity in our global crochet community.
What Are the Yarnies?
The Yarnie Awards is a community-driven celebration of crochet creators, teachers, designers, vloggers, and all-around yarnie heroes.
Community members submit nominations.
Hosts review entries and select final nominees for each category.
The community returns to vote, and then everyone hangs out together for a live awards show!
The goal is diversity, inclusion, and making sure creators from all corners of the crochet world feel seen and celebrated.
Note: Yarn Over Hook is not a host or sponsor of the Yarnies—just proud participants cheering from the sidelines!

You’ll see categories like Community Creator of the Year, Up and Coming Creator of the Year, Crochet YouTuber of the Year, and more.
Add your nominations
Type the creator’s name or handle in each category you want to fill in.
You can skip any categories you’re unsure about.
You may put the same creator in more than one relevant category.
Keep it fair + kind
Please do not spam the same person in every single category.
The hosts will not count spammed ballots or multiple submissions from the same person.
Submit once and share
Hit submit—and then tell your crochet friends so a wide mix of voices gets represented!

Voting period: Monday, December 15 – Monday, December 29
Awards Livestream: Saturday, January 10 at 7 PM EST

Yarnies FAQ (Quick Highlights)
Do the hosts just pick their favourites?
- Nope! Nominations come from the community. That’s why sharing the nomination posts and form is so important—more reach = more diverse voices.
Will only the “big” accounts be nominated?
- The organizers are intentionally limiting each creator to a maximum of two categories so that nominations better reflect the full range of crochet creators, big and small.
Can I spam one person in every category?
- No. If someone is written in for every category—especially where it doesn’t fit—that’s considered spam and those entries won’t be counted. Please nominate creators in relevant categories only.
Can I submit the form multiple times?
- You’re encouraged to submit once to help keep things fair.
