Marketplace Overview

Yarn Over Hook is a digital marketplace for crochet-related downloadable products.

The marketplace is designed to support trusted, crochet-specific digital commerce by allowing approved sellers to offer eligible digital products such as crochet patterns, stitch guides, printables, templates, and other approved crochet-related downloads.

Current marketplace file types may include PDF, ZIP, JPG / JPEG, and PNG.

Yarn Over Hook reserves the right to determine which products, file types, categories, and seller accounts are eligible for participation in the marketplace.

Marketplace Roles

Platform

Yarn Over Hook is responsible for maintaining marketplace infrastructure, reviewing and approving sellers, moderating listings, enforcing marketplace rules, protecting buyer trust, managing payout infrastructure through approved processors, and reviewing escalated disputes, fraud concerns, and policy violations.

Sellers

Sellers are responsible for owning or controlling the rights to what they sell, uploading complete and accurate digital files, writing truthful listing content, clearly disclosing what is included and the applicable file types, maintaining valid payout details, keeping listings compliant, and handling ordinary product-specific buyer support.

Buyers

Buyers are responsible for reviewing listing details before purchase, using their account to access purchased files, contacting the seller first for ordinary product-specific issues, and contacting Yarn Over Hook Support for escalations, platform issues, payment-related concerns, or policy-related matters.

Placing Orders for Goods

By placing an Order for Goods through the Service, You warrant that You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

Your Information

If You wish to place an Order for Goods available on the Service, You may be asked to supply certain information relevant to Your Order including, without limitation, Your name, Your email, Your phone number, Your credit card number, the expiration date of Your credit card, Your billing information, and any other information reasonably required to process the Order.

You represent and warrant that: (i) You have the legal right to use any credit or debit card(s) or other payment method(s) in connection with any Order; and that (ii) the information You supply to us is true, correct and complete.

By submitting such information, You grant us the right to provide the information to payment processing third parties for purposes of facilitating the completion of Your Order.

Order Cancellation

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel Your Order at any time for certain reasons including but not limited to:

  • Goods availability
  • Errors in the description or prices for Goods
  • Errors in Your Order

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel Your Order if fraud or an unauthorized or illegal transaction is suspected.

Digital Purchases, Cancellation, and Refund Review

Because Yarn Over Hook products are digital downloads, all sales are generally final.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing listing details, file-type disclosures, and product descriptions before purchase.

Digital items are not usually eligible for cancellation, return, or exchange once purchased.

However, Yarn Over Hook may review and approve a refund in limited cases to protect buyer trust and marketplace integrity.

Refund review may be available when:

  • a buyer was charged more than once for the same product
  • the file is broken, blank, corrupted, or unusable
  • the seller never delivers the purchased file
  • the product is materially different from the listing description
  • the seller does not respond and the issue cannot be resolved
  • the seller has been removed and access cannot be restored
  • the listing has been removed after purchase and access cannot be restored
  • there is confirmed fraud, abuse, or a platform-related error

Refunds are usually not approved for:

  • change of mind
  • accidental purchase after the file has already been accessed or downloaded
  • dissatisfaction with style, preference, or difficulty level when the listing was accurate
  • inability to use a file type that was clearly disclosed in the listing

Yarn Over Hook may deny a request, require seller correction, approve a refund, remove or suspend a listing, or take further account action where needed.

Product Support and Marketplace Escalation

Sellers are the first point of support for ordinary product-specific issues tied to their own listings. These issues may include broken or corrupted files, incomplete files, incorrect uploads, file format questions, product clarification, mismatch concerns tied to product delivery, and ordinary post-purchase product support.

Sellers are expected to make reasonable efforts to resolve these issues promptly, including replacing or correcting files when needed.

Yarn Over Hook Support acts as the marketplace backstop when trust, access, payments, policy, or escalation issues arise.

Platform-owned issues may include:

  • seller application issues
  • payout issues
  • listing rejection disputes
  • duplicate charges
  • policy violations
  • fraud or abuse review
  • seller suspension or removal
  • listing removal after purchase
  • refund escalations

Shared issues, where seller contact should generally occur first and platform escalation may follow when needed, include:

  • buyer download issues
  • misleading listing complaints
  • broken file disputes
  • refund requests tied to product quality or delivery failure

A buyer issue may be escalated to Yarn Over Hook Support when:

  • the seller does not respond
  • the seller cannot resolve the problem
  • the issue involves duplicate charges
  • the issue involves listing accuracy or marketplace policy
  • the seller account is suspended or removed
  • the listing is removed after purchase
  • fraud, abuse, or platform error is suspected

Removed Listings and Continued Access

If a seller or listing is removed after purchase, Yarn Over Hook may preserve access to previously purchased files where technically possible.

If buyer access cannot be restored, Yarn Over Hook may review the order for refund eligibility.

We are constantly updating Our offerings of Goods on the Service. The Goods available on Our Service may be mispriced, described inaccurately, or unavailable, and We may experience delays in updating information regarding our Goods on the Service and in Our advertising on other websites.

All Goods purchased are subject to a one-time payment. Payment may be made through the payment methods We make available from time to time, including major credit cards, debit cards, and other approved online payment methods.

Payment methods are subject to validation checks and authorization by the applicable payment provider or card issuer. If We do not receive the required authorization, We will not be liable for any delay in processing or completing Your Order.

Seller Payouts

Seller payouts are currently subject to a $15 USD minimum monthly payout threshold and any applicable payout setup, verification, account standing, and payment processor requirements.

Marketplace Participation

Yarn Over Hook offers a digital marketplace where approved sellers may sell crochet-related downloadable content, including but not limited to crochet patterns, stitch guides, printables, templates, and other approved crochet-related digital products.

To become a seller, a user must register, complete any required application or onboarding steps, and be approved by Yarn Over Hook before listing products.

A seller is not considered marketplace-ready until any required onboarding and review steps are completed. These may include seller approval, profile or storefront completion, payout setup, first product submission, first product review and approval, internal test purchase completion, and any additional review or corrective action Yarn Over Hook reasonably requires before publication or continued selling.

By participating in the marketplace as a seller, you agree to comply with these Terms, the Seller Agreement, and any related marketplace policies.

Yarn Over Hook reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, limit, or terminate seller accounts, and to pause, correct, or remove listings or products, in order to maintain a safe, fair, trustworthy, and community-centered marketplace.
