Summer Stash Bash Kickoff

Welcome back to Summer Stash Bash, Yarn Over Hook’s annual summerlong crochet event celebrating creativity, community, and the joy of using the yarn already in your stash.

The Summer Stash Bash Kickoff livestream will introduce this year’s event, including featured soap sack patterns, giveaways, and a meaningful community challenge created in partnership with S.A.C.K. Together, the Yarn Over Hook community will work toward donating 1,000 crocheted soap sacks with soap to local communities around the world.

Throughout the event, crocheters can join weekly live check-ins every Wednesday at 1:30 PM PT to discover new featured patterns, follow the community progress meter, and stay connected with fellow makers. The summer event runs from June 3 through July 22, 2026, with a wrap-up livestream on July 29, 2026 to celebrate the total impact goal.

This virtual event is a great fit for crocheters who want to use up stash yarn, try practical crochet projects, connect with the wider Yarn Over Hook community, and contribute handmade items to a cause-centered summer challenge.
